When I use the implicit method to do springback analysis I cannot obtain a converged solution no matter what I’ve done. Do I have some other choices to obtain a converged solution for springback prediction?

Yes, you still have one more choice to get a converged solution. In LSDYNA3D, if you cannot get a converged solution for the analysis of static of static problem, such as springback process, you can try to use DYNAMIC RELAXATION method to get the solution.

However, it is not encouraged to use DYNAMIC RELAXATION to do analysis for static problem, because this method will take much longer CPU time. For springback analysis, if you use implicit method properly, the CPU time could be one percent of that from DYNAMIC RELAXATION analysis.

DYNAMIC RELAXATION should be used only when the implicit fails to provide a converged solution.
